About

Meet Sugar Yadav

I work with business owners at the moment financing stops being a spreadsheet exercise and starts being a real decision — a lease that has to be signed, equipment that has to be replaced, a hire that can't wait another quarter. My job is to help you see the whole picture before you commit to it.

Philosophy

Financing should support a strategy — not replace one

Capital solves a timing problem or funds a return. It does not fix an operating problem, and it rarely fixes a pricing problem. When someone comes to me for a loan, the first conversation is about what the money is meant to accomplish and what happens to the business if the plan takes longer than expected.

That means I will sometimes recommend against financing, or recommend a smaller amount than a client could qualify for. My measure of a good outcome is whether the decision still looks right to you twelve months later.

I also believe you should understand the mechanics — amortization, coverage, collateral, personal guaranty, prepayment — well enough to explain them to a partner or spouse. If I haven't made something clear, I haven't finished my work.
